My art

My artwork is rooted in nature and the world I see around me every day.

The process of creating a painting begins with photographing trees and landscapes, these are then developed into sketches in the studio where the composition and lines are mapped out on the canvas. Colour and textures are introduced next and come as much from my imagination as from photographs.

Our interactions with the natural world have the power to invigorate and to soothe, and at the same time are a reminder of the fragility of nature: I try to express my individual connection with the natural world in paint.

My work — including original paintings, a range of greetings cards, prints and more — is for sale at The Jade Tree.
An online shop is being developed but in the meantime please contact me for details.

I studied at the celebrated La Massana School Of Art & Design in Barcelona and established myself there for nearly ten years as both an artist and teacher.

Returning to Norwich, I joined The Jade Tree, an artist-run co-op where I have my studio and sell my work. As well as exhibiting in the annual Norfolk Open Studios, I have been selected for, amongst others, the Eastern Open, Cley Contemporary Art and the Salthouse Church summer exhibition.

Examples of my work are in private collections in Norfolk and across the UK as well as Spain and Australia.
